Why did you choose to join the Powell Software team in Paris?
It’s an exciting time to get to join a company providing solutions that really facilitate new ways of working. A lot of us are going to be working remotely or hybrid for a long time to come and Powell Software solutions are designed for that.
I was really drawn to Powell Software not just because of the products but also the team. Powell Software has an international, young, and dynamic vibe. There are people based all over the world and it’s a melting pot of different backgrounds. Not only do I have so much to learn from everyone but it’s nice to have a mix of French and international colleagues all while being based in Paris – one of the most vibrant cities in the world. It’s also a growing team with lots of new roles and people joining, so I’m not the only new Powell Player.
What is your mission as Content and Community Manager at Powell Software?
My mission is primarily to create informative, education, and helpful content across our website and social media. We want to be a hub of information, so everyone visiting our social channels and websites can learn something new. My role involves research, staying on top of trends, and linking in with everyone across the organization, and listening to our customers and partners. On social media, I aim to create a community where customers and followers can interact with us. We want to connect with people passionate in this space.
What do you like most about your new position?
My role is varied and I get to work with everyone in the organization. Since joining I have been able to dive straight into projects, learn a lot, and contribute my ideas. From writing to creating images and designing emails, I get to combine my joy for writing and creative skills in one role.
Writing about the digital workplace at the moment is especially interesting as people are wondering what the future holds post-pandemic and I get to contribute to that conversation. Powell Software is also always innovating and improving. It’s exciting to be part of it.

What is your favorite Office 365 or Powell Software feature and why?
I love that I can connect to Powell Intranet directly from my Microsoft Teams. Working with a hybrid team that is spread across the world, I use Teams every day. Being able to have that open and go into the intranet to look up people in the organization – important as a new joiner – or to find HR documents, has been a great help. Having to learn a lot of new tools can be daunting, but when they are all placed easily in front of you it makes things a lot easier.
I also like that with Powell Hub I can have the apps I need – like for booking my desk, completing my expenses, or managing my to-do list with Trello in one place.
What do you do in your free time, outside the office?
I spend my weekends exploring Paris by foot and discovering all the city has to offer. Even after a few years of living here, there is always something new. In normal times, I travel as much as possible. My favorite destination has to be Galway, in the West of Ireland, where I’m from. It’s a seaside city and nothing beats some fresh sea air especially when living in a big city.
What is your secret talent?
My secret talent is that I speak a bit of Brazilian Portuguese and Irish!
