The Seed was Planted
Powell Software is an idea born on the shores of Lake Powell, UT, USA, in 2014, when our CTO and Product Manager – both among the best SharePoint experts – realized that the cloud revolution would radically transform how to design and implement intranet portals within organizations.
Powell Software was Founded
After one year of design and development, Powell Software was launched in the Autumn of 2015 in Paris, France.
Powell Software North America
An immediate first success encouraged Powell Software to promptly start its international development with the launch of Powell Software North America in February 2016.
In May 2016, Powell Software launched its partner program and recruited partners to offer a new generation of Digital Workplaces to customers.
Powell Software was recognized in three different international market studies (ClearBox, Lecko, and Gartner) as a stand-out intranet solution after only two years of existing in the digital workplace market.
Our Partner Network Grows
We held our first partner convention, recognizing our incredible partner network who help drive digital transformation projects for our customers. Our Hong Kong and Dubai offices were established.
We Expanded Globally
We expanded further around the world, with the opening of our offices in London, Cologne, and South Africa. Powell Hub was created.
Series A Funding
We closed a $16 million Series A fundraising round, led by two major investors: Level Equity in the US and Cap Horn in France. We grew further, opening our Sydney office and launching Powell Teams.
