The problem nobody puts on a slide
The consensus going into ESPC26 is that AI success is a licensing and prompting question. Buy the seats, train the champions, ship a few agents. It is a comfortable story because every step is visible and budgeted.
We think it is the wrong place to look. Copilot does not invent answers from nothing. It reads what your tenant already holds: the ownerless site from a project that ended in 2021, the folder shared with “everyone except external users”, the policy page that three newer versions contradict. Search used to hide that mess because nobody clicked past page one. An AI assistant surfaces it in the first answer.
So the real question is not “how do we roll out Copilot?” It is “what are we asking Copilot to trust?” Until that has an answer, a smarter assistant simply means a faster way to show the wrong content to the wrong person.
The second-order effect matters more. Once you govern your sites and curate one trusted place where employees go for what is true, that place becomes the source every AI experience draws from. The intranet stops being a communication channel and becomes the knowledge layer for your AI. The tradeoff is real: governance is slower to demo than an agent and nobody applauds a clean permissions report. It also compounds, and the agent does not.
What you will see on booth 28
We built the booth around one idea: start with what keeps IT up at night, then land on what employees actually use. Tell us your role, and we will show you the matching piece.
You run Microsoft 365 or SharePoint? We open with Powell’s Governance solutions: how to find ownerless sites, spot oversharing, and see how ready your tenant really is for Copilot, before an assistant finds it for you.
You sponsor AI or Copilot and have to prove its value? We show the Powell’s AI assistant solutions for search and drafting, and walk you through our ROI calculator so the business case survives the next budget review.
You support departments like internal communications and HR? IT is usually the one asked to make the intranet work. We go straight to Powell’s Intranet and mobile app solutions, built to reach every employee, including the ones who never open SharePoint.
We’ll make it short and run it on your scenario, not a scripted tour. If what you need is not in the box, we will say so.
Why book a meeting instead of walking by
A walk-by gets you a demo. A booked slot gets you a conversation about your own tenant, with someone who will not read from a script. You leave with three questions to take back to your team:
- Who owns every site Copilot can read today?
- What is shared more widely than anyone intended?
- Which pages should an AI answer from, and which should it never touch?
If governance is not your problem, we will tell you in the first five minutes and point you to the sessions worth your time. Microsoft partners and integrators are just as welcome: ESPC is full of them, and we would rather talk about working together than pitch you.
The expo hall gets busy around the morning and afternoon breaks, so pre-booking is the only way to guarantee our full attention.
