Microsoft officials announced during the company’s Q2 FY’22 earnings that Teams has surpassed 270 million monthly active users. A 400 percent increase since March 2020, shared Microsoft Corporate Vice President Emma Williams during a Bloomberg Live interview.
Teams’ usage has grown exponentially and to better understand how this growth affects organization, Powell Software partnered with Redmond media to survey 500 employees working for businesses that leverage Microsoft 365.
One of the key findings is that Microsoft Teams growth has resulted to an increase of teams being created with no owner resulting in Teams sprawl. 55% of respondents felt there was a need for Microsoft Teams governance in their organization.
