A glimpse at the winners and their triumphs

Let’s dive into some of the success stories that lit up the 2026 Powell Power Awards:

Best intranet launch/re-launch:

  • Group ADP: Faced with the complexity of connecting thousands of employees across multiple airports, métiers, and operational environments, Groupe ADP had a clear challenge: turn a fragmented, hard-to-navigate intranet into a truly useful daily tool. The result is a unified, intuitive digital workplace that brings clarity where there was noise, and relevance where there was overload. By simplifying access to information, personalizing the experience, and aligning communication across teams, Groupe ADP didn’t just relaunch an intranet – they created a platform employees actually rely on, every single day.

  • Six: Dealing with an intranet that slowed down access to information across a global workforce, SIX needed a solution that could bring clarity, speed, and consistency. With SIX Connect, they turned complexity into simplicity – creating a seamless, Microsoft 365-powered digital workplace where employees can instantly find what matters, collaborate more effectively, and stay aligned across regions. The result? An intranet that doesn’t just support work – it accelerates it.

Best intranet design:

  • GGVie: They reached a turning point; their existing intranet worked, but no longer reflected their identity or the evolving expectations of their teams. The challenge was clea – evolve without breaking what already existed. With “MyGGVie,” they transformed a functional platform into a truly personalized, branded experience. By aligning design, usability, and innovation, they created an intranet that feels meaningful, intuitive, and built for everyday use – not just another tool, but a space employees genuinely connect with.

Most innovative project:

  • ABC Finance: faced a common but critical challenge; making their intranet more than just a repository of information. They needed a platform that could engage employees, simplify access to content, and support real business use cases. By rethinking the experience from the ground up, they created a more dynamic, user-centric intranet that enhances visibility, streamlines communication, and drives adoption. The result is a digital workplace that actively supports how people actually work on a day-to-day basis.

Coupe de Cœur:

  • Calderys: In a complex, international environment, Calderys needed to unify communication and bring consistency across teams and regions. Their challenge was not just technical, it was cultural; how to create a shared space that reflects the company while remaining relevant locally. The result is an intranet that connects people, simplifies access to key information, and strengthens alignment across the organization. More than a platform, it has become a central hub that supports collaboration and reinforces a shared identity.

Intranet hero:

Stitch DX has nominated Sasha Carvalho and Emilie Rivest from Browns Shoes as 2026 Intranet Heroes!

About the Browns Shoes makeover:

As Browns Shoes expanded across Canada with 2,400 employees and 70+ stores, its digital workplace became increasingly fragmented – slowing down access to information, creating silos between teams, and relying heavily on emails and disconnected tools. To address this, Browns partnered with StitchDX to launch SoleTrain, a modern, bilingual intranet built on Powell and Microsoft 365. Designed as a central hub accessible directly from Teams, SoleTrain unified communication, simplified access to resources, and supported both corporate and frontline teams with a mobile-first experience. The impact was immediate: adoption jumped to 88%, time spent searching for information dropped by 30%, and internal emails decreased by 25%. Today, SoleTrain is more than an intranet – it’s a scalable, strategic platform powering Browns Shoes’ operations, culture, and future growth.

  • Who are the Intranet Heroes? They are the backbone of intranet projects! The people who bring the digital workspace to life.
  • Why did Stitch DX nominate Sasha and Emilie? Emilie Rivest and Sasha Carvalho have been the pillars of the new intranet, adding content, managing new projects, training new users, handling support requests, and, in general, promoting it. Their mastery of internal communication and the technical aspects of the project has been essential to the success of the relaunch of Browns’ intranet.

A celebration of what’s possible

The Powell Power Awards are a testament to the power of vision, collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. By sharing these remarkable stories, Powell Intranet ignites a spark of inspiration, encouraging organizations everywhere to dream bigger and unlock the boundless potential of their digital workplaces.

“This project demonstrates that an intranet can generate strong adoption right from launch if you invest in the communication plan and put the user at the center. Having a portal that embodies our identity while intelligently adapting to each employee has transformed the perception of our internal tools.”

— Thu, Head of communications/digital, Group ADP

“With colleagues across 19 countries, connection and clarity are critical. For the first time, SIX Connect brings our global workforce together by making relevant information easy to find and locally meaningful, while still reinforcing a shared identity and direction across the company.”

— Claudia Holfert, Head of communications, SIX

SoleTrain is the vehicle for growing our community. Every event, activity, news item, policy update, or corporate communication is first seen on SoleTrain. It’s both a gathering place and a launch pad for us to come together virtually, or in person. Since its inception, SoleTrain has increased the feedback and sharing that happens across the organization. I can’t imagine what corporate life would be like without it.
